The PCL-6DR update is exactly the same in design, dimensions and features as the original PCL-6D, with a couple of differences though.
One of them is found in the letter "R" at end of the model name signifying that its dovetail design is fully compatible with RRS® Lever Quick Release Clamps.
However, the other difference is found in a semi-glossy finish instead of the matt-black that Sunwayfoto had adopted in their late models.
According to my information, this is due to the fact that Sunwayfoto engineers have improved the durability of the finish against scratches by increasing the Anodizing coating by a few microns.
Although not confirmed yet, PCL-6DR seems to be a pilot for upcoming Sunwayfoto products, therefore both improvements are welcome as they further enhance the exemplary Sunwayfoto quality.

As obvious from the table above the PCL-6DR L bracket has a minor increase in weight by 5 gr (0.18 oz) easily justifiable by the increase on the dovetail radius and the anodizing coat.
Sunwayfoto PCL-6DR on Canon EOS 6D
Like all Sunwayfoto products, it is precisely CNC machined from one-piece of Aircraft grade aluminium block, still very lightweight at 102 gr (3.6 oz) featuring all necessary openings for the camera connectors.
Same as with its predecessor, the package except for the PCL-6DR L bracket, includes also 4 x M3 safety stop screws, 1 x 1/4"-20 captive screw and 2 x Allen wrenches for the M3 and 1/4"-20 screws respectively.
