Aeonium Arboreum Var. Atropurpureum "Schwartzkopf"

Aeonium Arboreum Var. Atropurpureum "Schwartzkopf"

Last week during a visit to a friends' summer house I came across a very interesting and impressive specimen of the succulent plants family with shiny burgundy colored leaves.

After some search and a little help from a botanist friend, I identified it as Aeonium Arboreum "Schwartzkopf" possibly the Atropurpureum variation.

Unfortunately the only camera I had available was a Canon Powershot D10 which I used in manual "macro" mode with and without the little on camera flash.
