New Desmond DGZ-1 Plate for Gitzo Heads

Desmond Photographic Distribution has announced a new camera base plate compatible with Gitzo® Ball and Pan head quick release system.

Desmond DGZ-1 is made entirely of Aluminium and costs only a small fraction of the original.

The 46 x 46 mm (1.81 x 1.81 ") plate has four embedded anti-twist rubber pads diagonally set on the top surface and weighs 32 gr. (1.13 oz).

The bottom view reveals the angular cuts and grooves that enable the Gitzo® safety lock system. The plate is equipped with a centrally located 1/4"-20 screw with a hinged D-ring and a slot.
