Some of the older SCV Photography Ideas readers may recall a series of articles engaged with solutions for the stabilization of long telephoto lenses via Long Lens Support Brackets (LLSBs).

But what happens when you want to support a real monster like the SIGMA 800 mm f/5.6 EX DG APO HSM lens? Well trust me a simple bracket as the ones we have seen up to now is not enough then.
Triggered by user demand, Sunwayfoto has gone all the way in introducing a series of Long Lens Support Kits named YLS-G1 through G3 addressing different lens lengths. Their largest model YLS-G3 capable of supporting the Sigma beast is in review here.

Hejnar PHOTO Lens Support for Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens

Although Chris Hejnar has released a Replacement Foot for Fuji XF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 R about two years ago, which actually offers greater integration, some clients required further stabilization of the front part of the lens.

Therefore, a solution of a Long Lens Support combining a longer rail and vertical bracket, came to be stabilizing this longer super telephoto lens.

Sunwayfoto GH-01 Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head Released

Sunwayfoto have finally released their GH-01 heavy duty Carbon Fiber Gimbal head which we saw in the Sneak Peek of Sunwayfoto Heavy Duty Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head last August.
The final product has been improved and reinforced at many points. Nonetheless, some changes are obvious, while others are invisible to the end user. In any case the overall stability and balancing were improved.

A new and very innovative modular lens support bracket was just released by Hejnar Photo under the model name MOD-6 LLSB. Actually the new LLSB is unique and original.

It is based on the reviewed Hejnar PHOTO Modular Lens Support Bracket MOD-1 with its 2" body rail but with a modified U shape lens supporting bar featuring 1.15" diameter wheels placed in a completely different manner than any other lens supporting Yoke or LLSB.
