Hejnar PHOTO has just released a Dedicated modular L Bracket for the recently released but already very popular Fujifilm X-T1 Interchangeable Lens Compact mirror-less camera.
The Hejnar PHOTO X-T1 modular L Bracket follows the same concept of the Hejnar Photo Modular L Bracket for Fuji X-E1 & X-E2 previewed recently but with a modified camera base plate dedicated to the Fujifilm X-T1.
The Fuji X-T1 L Bracket
Mounting on the Camera
According to Hejnar Photo, their QR plates are compatible with Kirk®, R.R.S.®, Arca-Swiss®, and many other Arca-Swiss style Quick release clamps.
Update April 15, 2014
Due to questions raised in various Fuji X user Groups and Fora (Forums) concerning the accessibility of the X-T1 side connectors with the Hejnar X-T1 L bracket installed, I contacted Hejnar Photo on this issue who confirmed that in order to access the side connectors one has to remove the side (vertical) plate on this model.
However, I received also some answers justifying their design approach which I summarize below:
Since the Fuji X-T1 connector door is larger than the X-E1/ X-E2 but also offset to the rear they were in a dilemma when designing the L bracket, between:
a. A larger, taller, offset to the rear side plate (which would exceed the height of the strap loop) and b. Keeping the L bracket as minimal as possible in order to avoid altering the compact character of the camera.
They also found more critical to maintain the vertical plate dovetail aligned with the base plate dovetail in order to avoid re-framing when changing from landscape to portrait orientation, than offsetting the side plate towards the back.
Even if they did, the tripod mounting hole position on all Fuji X cameras does not permit a compact L bracket design that would allow moving the side plate away from the camera body so as to use remote release or USB plugs in portrait orientation.
They also pointed out that since the X-T1 has built-in Wi-Fi including remote control from a smartphone or tablet somehow makes the use of remote cables redundant.
Concluding, they mentioned that they are studying another design which may come out according to demand but at the moment they give priority to the design of an L bracket for the gripped X-T1.
I hope you found the information useful, thank you for viewing.

Unlike the Hejnar Modular L Bracket for Fuji X-E1/X-E2 or the Dedicated L Bracket for Fuji X-100/S the new X-T1 L Bracket does not have any anti-twist ridges at the front or the back of the base plate. Instead, there is a small pin near the front corner which takes advantage of the relevant battery grip alignment hole at the camera base, thus acting as an anti-twist mechanism. |
The base plate is hollowed out at the bottom without any braces. Just a stainless-steel 1/4"-20 hex-socket cap screw for mounting the bracket on the camera, resides in the corner. |
Centered below the lens mount, on the front dovetail extension of the base plate exists a tapped 1/4"-20 hole for direct mounting the on a pod without having to remove the bracket. |
Mounting on the Camera
Nothing obstructs the tilting LCD screen at the rear, while two Φ center marks, one on the horizontal and one on the vertical plate, indicate the lens center axis. |
According to Hejnar Photo, their QR plates are compatible with Kirk®, R.R.S.®, Arca-Swiss®, and many other Arca-Swiss style Quick release clamps.
