New Samyang 16mm f/2.0 APS-C Wide Angle Lens

According to a post in their Facebook page / photo section, the well known Korean lens manufacturer Samyang, has chosen an innovative? way to make an announcement about a new lens.

The new Samyang 16mm f/2.0 APS-C wide angle lens will be released by the end of June beginning July.

"The 16mm focal length with rectilinear imaging system ensure extra wide angle of view amounting to 83.1° for Nikon version and 79.5° for Canon.

The large aperture opening of f/2.0 ensures that photographers will be able to use it for low light environment like night street shooting. The weight of the lens is just about 571 gr, as a result this lens will be a attractive carry on for architecture and landscape shooting."

For reference a 16 mm focal length for APS-C sensors is equivalent to 25.6 mm for Canon's 1.6 FOV-C and 24 mm for Nikon's 1.5 FOV-C.
