Effective from the 1st of September, Canon has announced a significant price drop on all its L series lenses. Price reductions start from US$ 40.00 reaching however for the first time the amount of US$ 1000.00 in the white Super Telephoto range of L lenses.

What seems a great bargain though, is the EF 24-70mm f:4 L USM lense, which after the US$ 500.00 price drop and combined with a US$ 250.00 mail-in rebate is shown with a final price tag of US$ 749.00.
