As announced in the Sunwayfoto website, both their FB Classic series and XB Low Profile series of ball heads were recently certified by SGS for remaining functional in the freezing low temperature of -40°C.
Under the title:
Low Temperature Pass Certificate for XB Series and FB series ball heads,
Sunwayfoto declares among others:
"...Ballheads get frozen when the temperature is lower than -20℃ and can't move at all. To solve this problem, we use the best friction oil lubrication so that all our ball heads can work perfectly even in a -40 ℃ environment."
