Hejnar PHOTO has just expanded its lines of Arca-Swiss® dovetail compatible, replacement feet with the release of their first model dedicated to a Fujinon lens this time.
It is the Hejnar FUJI-50-140-FOOT which by its descriptive model name indicates a Replacement Foot for the excellent Fuji telephoto zoom lens, the FUJINON XF50-140mm F2.8R LM OIS WR.
Unlike replacement feet designed for Canon and Nikon lenses featuring four mounting screws, the solution for Fuji accords to the native design with two thumb screws which can easily detach and reattach the foot on the lens collar.

The Hejnar Photo FUJI-50-140-FOOT is a two part design with an arched part which fits the Fujinon lens collar, featuring an alignment dowel pin and two stainless steel knurled thumb screws. The lower part sports a double dovetail which besides being compatible with all Arca style quick release clamps it also allows for the attachment of flash brackets and/or other devices on the top dovetail.

The bottom side of the FUJI-50-140-FOOT is symmetrically carved with only a central brace, where two tapped holes, one with 3/8"-16 thread and one with 1/4"-20 thread, lay front to back for direct mount on any pod with a 3/8"-16 or 1/4"-20 stud.
Safety-wise, two M3 safety stop screws are pre-installed, one at each end of the foot protecting the lens from falling off a semi closed QR clamp.
Installation on the Lens
In order to replace the factory installed foot, all it has to be done is to completely unscrew both thumb screws holding the original Fuji foot and remove it from the lens collar.
Then again, after aligning the replacement foot by its dowel pin with the respective hole on the lens collar, the user should carefully insert the knurled thumb screws provided with the replacement foot in their corresponding holes, tighten them and secure the Hejnar replacement foot onto the lens collar.
In order to avoid screw slack, it is recommended to use a thread locking compound like Loctite 242 (blue) or any other equivalent medium strength product.

Although no tools are required for the installation of the replacement foot on the lens barrel, the FUJI-50-140-FOOT is accompanied by an Allen hex key compatible for the M3 safety screws.

According to Hejnar Photo the dovetail design and dimensions of the FUJI-50-140-FOOT conform fully to the Hejnar Photo standard, therefore compatible with Kirk®, R.R.S.®, Arca-Swiss®, and many other Quick Release clamps that have adopted the Arca-Swiss style.
