The Arca-Swiss® compatible lens foot fits on the lens collar, thus allowing the lens to be mounted more properly on ball heads and Gimbals with Arca style clamps.
Further than the H129 there is a Low Profile Replacement Foot for Nikon 70-200mm previewed some time ago the H128.

The H129 follows the general standard maintained in the Hejnar family. Each foot is precision CNC machined out of a solid Aluminium block with a double dovetail in front and the appropriate collar base at the rear. However the H129 is extremely lightweight compared to many other replacement lens feet, as it weighs same as a lens plate.
The front double dovetail enables a flash bracket or any other device with a small Arca QR clamp to be mounted on the top dovetail while the foot is clamped on a head by the lower one.
The H128 front features an 1/4"-20 tapped hole, allowing the foot to be alternatively mounted on any kind of pod with an equivalent stud.
Two M3 safety stop screws come as standard and are pre-installed one at the front end and one at the rear end of the foot, keeping it within the clamp limits from any accidental slip offs in case the QR clamp is not closed firmly.
A pass through hole exists at the rear below the mounting block serving to host the provided screw for mounting on the lens collar.
Installation on the Lens
Replacement of the Nikon Foot is very straightforward. All it needs, is to release the original Foot, insert the H129 Replacement on the lip of the Foot Plate and then secure it with the provided hex-cap screw.
It is recommended to use a thread locking compound like Loctite 242 (blue) or any other equivalent product of medium strength for small screws. This will prevent the mounting screw from loosening up sometime in the future.
The package contains beside the H129 Replacement Foot, an 1/4-20 hex-cap screw 1/2" long, two M3 safety stop screws pre-installed and two Allen hex keys for the 1/4"-20 mounting screw and for the M3 screws

Arca Swiss® compatibility is a standard for Hejnar Photo products extended to this Custom Lens Foot as well regarding both its dovetails on top and the bottom. Hjenar Photo products work with Arca type clamps from:
