As recently announced from Hejnar PHOTO their D035 Dedicated Quick Release Plate for the Canon Powershot compact and/or M Series Interchangeable Lens Compact mirrorless cameras has been updated with a QD (Quick Detach) socket.
The new D035QD is based on the Hejnar D035 Quick Release plate which was made specifically for the Canon models M3, M5, M6, M6 MkII and is also verified to be compatible with the Canon EOS M50 and the Canon EOS M100 cameras
The Hejnar D035QD much like its sister plate is a little off-center designed to anticipate for the blockage of the battery compartment, which would occur when using a standard Quick Release plate.

The D035QD comes a little grams heavier than its predecessor due to the QD socket, but still remains very lightweight at 35gr (1.3 oz).
The QD socket is almost centered on the plate, where it has actually replaced the extra 1/4"-20 tapped hole present on the D035 QR Plate. A small sacrifice for the great convenience of a Quick Attachment / Detachment.
The top surface is flat with just a couple of bosses at the front edge to take care of the anti-twisting function. The 1/4"-20 captive mounting screw sits in a captive slot, almost at 1/3 of the width from the side.
The rear side has the distinctive Φ mark for the lens center axis, which proves helpful in aligning the camera when clamping the QR plate on a head.
Somehow the D035QD differs from the D035 by the fact that besides the off axis placement of the mounting screw slot, Chris managed to fit two M3 safety stop screws, one on each side of the plate.
For the record, all Hejnar QR plates are accompanied by two Allen Hex keys, one for the 1/4"-20 mounting screw and one thinner for the two M3 safety stop screws in this occasion.
According to Hejnar Photo and also proven by my tests, Hejnar plates are compatible with Kirk®, R.R.S.®, Arca-Swiss®, and many other Arca-Swiss style Quick release clamps.
