Hejnar PHOTO has recently released their D060 Dedicated Quick Release Lens Plate for another RF mount Canon lens, the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM zoom telephoto lens.
This lens plate is also equipped with one QD (Quick Detach) socket, which becomes a standard feature in many photography support gear nowadays.
The Hejnar D060 although resembling many of Hjenar Lens Plates is brand new made specifically for the new Canon RF zoom lens.

The D060 is a dual dovetail plate but very lightweight despite the QD socket at 67 gr (2.4 oz).
The top surface of the Lens Plate is flat except for the alignment pin. The pin obviously matches the alignment hole near the 1/4"-20 mounting socket at the base of the lens foot. This takes care of the anti-twisting function immobilizing the lens plate on the lens foot base.

The D060 is a dual dovetail plate but very lightweight despite the QD socket at 67 gr (2.4 oz).
The top surface of the Lens Plate is flat except for the alignment pin. The pin obviously matches the alignment hole near the 1/4"-20 mounting socket at the base of the lens foot. This takes care of the anti-twisting function immobilizing the lens plate on the lens foot base.
The 1/4"-20 mounting screw moves within a captive slot for proper plate alignment.
The QD socket is placed near the edge of the plate with an extra 1/4"-20 tapped hole close to it.
The bottom side view of the Hejnar D060, reveals the deep carving leaving only an elevated part, which hosts the QD socket and the 1/4"-20 tapped hole for direct mount on any standard size pod stud.
Further, two factory installed M3 safety stop screws are found at the ends of the lens plate, ensuring there will not be any accidental fall off, due to forgotten semi closed QR clamp.
The size of the lens plate is longer than the lens collar foot and extends quite longer from front and the back of the collar foot base, thus allowing for ample headroom for balancing adjustment of the camera/lens combo on a tripod head or the addition of a flash bracket etc on the top dovetail.
Obviously the QD socket on the D060 is provided for the attachment of a standard push-button QD mount. Which may well be a QD Sling Swivel combined with a sling strap to carry and/or secure your valuable Canon lens.
For the record the QD system has been used for many years by industries around the world including NASA, law enforcement and military agencies. The design inhibits accidental removal, especially when something is hanging from the strap.
As usual with all Hejnar QR plates and Lens Plates the D060 is accompanied by one 1/4"-20 SS captive mounting screw and two Allen Hex keys, one for the 1/4"-20 mounting screw and one smaller for the preinstalled M3 safety stop screws.
Compatibility
Arca Swiss® compatibility is a standard for Hejnar Photo products extended to this Custom Replacement Lens Foot as well regarding both its dovetails on top and the bottom.
