Desmond DLEV-1 Leveler Leveling Base Review
The concept of thumb-wheel regulated leveling base goes back many years, even decades, ago with the introduction of Bogen® model 3416 Leveling Base and then replaced by Manfrotto® 338 QTVR Leveling Base when Manfrotto® Group absorbed their US distributors.
Manfrotto® 338 Leveling Base is big with two extra large diameter discs adjusted by three big brass dials and secured by three smaller ones.

Create a Leveled Panoramic Rotator via the SCV-Flip-Kit - Part Three
This is the third article on the Create a Leveled Panoramic Rotator via the SCV-Flip-Kit theme aiming to help with more ideas on the implementation of the Desmonf SCV-FK Flip Kit.
Therefore, this third part is an addendum to the previous two articles in order to present the use of the enhanced Desmond SCV-FK Flip Kit along with a lower budget and more common ball head like the Benro B-2. Due to the resemblances, readers of the previous articles may find some parts sounding familiar or identical.
The refined idea of an inverse mounted ball head equipped with a panning base, which automatically gives to it leveling base attributes, as well as how I arrived to designing the SCV-FK Flip-Kit is fully described and explained in the original article.
Therefore, in order to avoid repeating myself, please refer to the original article Create an Economy Leveled Panoramic Rotator via a Ball Head Flip-Kit if you find difficulty comprehending the process or the purpose.

Create a Leveled Panoramic Rotator via the SCV-Flip-Kit - Part Two
I closed the previous article Create an Economy Leveled Panoramic Rotator via a Ball Head Flip-Kit, with a promise that as soon as other Flip-Kit versions were prepared, enhanced with more screws, bushings etc in order to cover more ball head or quick release mounts, I would come back with updates.
Therefore, this second part is an addendum to the original article in order to present the enhanced Desmond SCV-FK Flip Kit along with more illustrations of a different type conversion.

Updated Sunwayfoto DYH-90i and DYH-90Ri Leveling Bases Released
About a year ago Sunwayfoto had introduced their mid-sized DYH-90 and DYH-90R Leveling bases combined with their Discal Screw-Knob and large Duo Lever/Screw-Knob Release clamps.
Both models were then reviewed in Sunwayfoto DYH-90 Leveling Base Review and Sunwayfoto DYH-90R Leveling Base Review respectively; while I was left under the impression that the stand alone (meaning without a quick release clamp bundled) versions had also the same improved characteristics.

Create an Economy Leveled Panoramic Rotator via a Ball Head Flip-Kit
More and more photographers, especially amateur, get enthusiastic with panoramic photography, either because they discover inherent features in their newly acquired camera or because they get intrigued of having higher resolution landscape photos.
The point is that the more you get involved, the more you realize that for better panoramas with less stitching problems you need horizontally level panning. Especially for single-row cylindrical panoramas which are the most common.

Sunwayfoto DYH-90R Leveling Base Review
Based on the sturdy Sunwayfoto DYH-90 Leveling Base, DYH-90R represents one of its variations equipped with a heavy duty panning top platform, thus the R at the end of the model name.
Although it is a variation it may stand as a different model by itself for review, since the panning top platform adds another dimension to the leveling base, expanding its functionality and making it most appropriate for use with large format cameras.

Sunwayfoto DYH-90 Leveling Base Review
The Sunwayfoto Leveling Base line is currently comprised by three models.
Sunwayfoto DYH-66i reviewed last month (Nov 2012) is the entry level model, while the DYH-90 stands in the middle and the DYH-120TRO heavy weight tops the line.
Model DYH-90 forms its own series within the line by offering four different variations with added functionality.
Here we shall have a deeper look in the basic model, the plain DYH-90 which represents the base where all variations are built upon.
