Innovative Hejnar PHOTO FQD1 Quick Release Clamp with Quick Detach Socket

Up to now we were talking about Quick Release Clamps. Well after the introduction of the Hejnar  Photo FQD1 clamp, it's time we talk about a Quick Release and Quick Detach clamp two in one.

The concept is not new but the FQD1 brings two worlds together. The world of the QD - quick Detach system into the world of Hejanr QR Clamps. Somehow, these two have something in common. Both have been tested for rigidity and durability for many years.

Although almost all of Hejnar Photo clamps were restyled and renovated starting November 2017, this new one comes to serve a specific demand and goes back one step of styling to the standard shape that Hejnar clamps have accustomed us all these years.
So Hejnar F562b with a 2.375" (6 cm) jaw length, was introduced to fill a gap for ball heads requiring a 3/8"-16 mounting screw like some Linhof models do.

Updated Style Hejnar PHOTO F362b Quick Release Clamp Preview

Following the update and renovation of almost all of Hejnar Photo clamps last November, it was also time for the most classic and best selling clamp of the Hejnar Photo line.
So Hejnar F362b with a 2.375" (6 cm) jaw length, was introduced with a little delay this year, two months after the other clamps and five years after its previous update Hejnar Photo Updated F62Ab Quick Release Clamp Review.

Despite some minor changes the look and feel of the Hejnar family of quick release clamps has remained unaltered for the past five or six years.
Somehow, a breeze of change started with the introduction of the new F291 last month, subsequently followed by the F361 and most recently the a new F363 and F363b, with a new approach to the shape and style of Hejnar clamps.

New Hejnar PHOTO F52 Dual 90° Angle Quick Release Clamp Preview

Yet another addition to the Hejnar Special Clamps family came up late last month. It is a modular 90° angle dual quick release clamp with the simple model name F52.
The F52 90° angle clamp can find many uses like attaching two rails perpendicular to each other so they may be used for lens support or even can hold one or more rails in vertical position for shooting panoramas and/or stereo 3D images.

The Hejnar family of quick release clamps was enriched by another member recently.

The new Hejnar F61-2b quick release clamp is a variation of the most recent Hejnar PHOTO F91b 1.5" Quick Release Clamp (preview) keeping the characteristic Arca-Swiss® compatible Dovetail on the bottom, while adding three strap loops.

Announcement of Desmond DAC-383 and DAC-42 Quick Release Clamps

The new Desmond DAC-383 is a 38 mm quick release clamp with 3 strap bosses (loops) thus the model name 383. Besides the strap loops though the clamp bottom features also an RRS® compatible dovetail which allows it to be clamped on another clamp.

Sunwayfoto MFR-150S Wormdrive Macro Focusing Rail with Screw Knob Clamp Preview

Sometime after the release of their first Macro Focusing Rail the Sunwayfoto MFR-150 Wormdrive Macro Focusing Rail with Lever Clamp, Sunwayfoto has introduced a sister model with almost only difference the quick release clamp type integrated on the carriage.

The newer Sunwayfoto MFR-150S is equipped with a classic Screw Knob QR clamp instead of the Lever Release Clamp. Thus the S at the end of the model name. Otherwise there are no noticeable differences between the two.

Further to the release of the New Hejnar PHOTO F162b Flat Mount Optimized Quick Release Clamp Preview quite recently, another Hejnar classic the F63 is transformed into a thicker version the F163b
with a special thinner mono-block screw knob.
All for the sake of mounting the clamp flat on a surface, while being able to manipulate the knob quite easily still.

More news coming from the Hejnar Photo family of quick release clamps. Yet another, rather big baby I would say, has arrived.

The new member F162b is not absolutely new actually. As it is obvious from the photos, that it is based on the well known standard Hejnar Photo F62Ab Quick Release Clamp (review). But besides that it's thicker and sports a special thinner mono-block screw knob.
