Full Hejnar Photo Macro Stand Hardware Catalogue Released

A complete catalogue covering most Hejnar Photo Macro Stand Hardware was recently released.

It is the outcome of great effort by Murray O Neill who collected and put together macro stages from different camera manufacturers, combined with Hejnar Photo support gear.

As most of our readers probably know Hejnar PHOTO has created a broad selection of Linear Motion focusing macro rails and/or macro stages in the past 10 years or more.

Just 4 months after the release of the elongated 10" Hejnar PHOTO MS5P_10 Linear Motion Lead Screw Macro Rail, here comes a nice announcement from Hejnar Photo regarding its updated KS version, which in my opinion is a major improvement.

The changes concentrated in the handling of the Lead Screw where enlarged knobs and scales make the movement of the sliding carriage easier and more precise.

It's exactly 4 years today, since the release of the Hejnar Photo MS-5P_8 Linear Motion Macro Focusing Rail which has been the base for a couple of iterations with side scales and some time later even digital scales.

So on this 4th anniversary Chris Hejnar has released an elongated version at 10" inches, model MS5P_10 Linear Motion focusing macro rail.

A new large Linear Motion Macro Rail comes to complete the family of Hejnar Photo MS5P macro rails introduced in 2016.
The Hejnar MS5PS featuring a side Metric Scale is meant to fill the gap between the original MS5P_8 and the top MS5DSP with Digital Scale, as a more economical solution with scales.

Sunwayfoto MFR-150S Wormdrive Macro Focusing Rail with Screw Knob Clamp Preview

Sometime after the release of their first Macro Focusing Rail the Sunwayfoto MFR-150 Wormdrive Macro Focusing Rail with Lever Clamp, Sunwayfoto has introduced a sister model with almost only difference the quick release clamp type integrated on the carriage.

The newer Sunwayfoto MFR-150S is equipped with a classic Screw Knob QR clamp instead of the Lever Release Clamp. Thus the S at the end of the model name. Otherwise there are no noticeable differences between the two.

Although Sunwayfoto has a long term involvement in producing macro/nodal slide rails or low level shooting tripods for macro use, a real macro focusing rail was missing from their arsenal until now.

It is still a Linear Motion - Lead Screw focusing macro rail  with an Arca-Swiss® compatible dovetail but the first in the world with a Digital Scale attached on its side.

The Hejnar PHOTO family of Arca-Swiss® compatible Linear Motion focusing macro rails and macro stages has been in constant development the past few months.
After the new New 50 mm Linear Motion Lead Screw Macro Rails in May, here comes the MS5_8 an 8" focusing stage which can be declared as a direct upgrade of the original MS-3_8 Linear Motion Macro Focusing Stage (review) using the same lead screw concept but utilizing the sliding bars found on the latest Hejnar micro adjusted models.

Further to the release of the New Linear Motion Lead Screw 25 mm Macro Rail from Hejnar PHOTO just last month, a couple of new Linear motion Macro rails were added to the family, this time with a 50 mm drive.
The design concept is exactly the same with the MS4-200-1, falling between the older MS3_8 lead scew design and the and the high precision MS4 with Micrometric Head.

Another member was recently added to the Hejnar PHOTO family of Linear Motion focusing macro rails and macro stages.

The design concept of the brand new MS4-100-1 fits between the original MS-3_8 Linear Motion Macro Focusing Stage and the high precision MS4 with Micrometric Head, but with a more affordable price tag than both.

Hejnar PHOTO MS-3_8 Linear Motion Macro Focusing Stage is a lead screw (worm drive) focusing rail which features an Arca-Swiss® compatible dovetail. The slider is also equipped with an Arca-Swiss® type quick release clamp able to be reoriented by 90° increments.

Hejnar PHOTO MS-3_8 Lead Screw Macro Focusing Rail is a linear motion (worm drive) focusing rail.
It features an Arca-Swiss® compatible dovetail, while the slider is also equipped with an Arca-Swiss® type quick release clamp.

This Macro Focusing rail belongs to the higher-end focusing rails' class since the Camera to Subject distance can be adjusted in fine increments of 1.06 mm of travel per one rotation of the knobs.

New 50mm Linear Motion Micrometer Macro / Micro Rail from Hejnar PHOTO

Based on demand for a Linear Micrometric focusing rail with a longer travel than the already popular MS4 Linear Motion Micrometer Macro / Micro Rail, Hejnar PHOTO has just released a second edition MS4-2 Linear Micrometric rail.
The new contender features a longer travel by 25 mm, totaling now a 50 mm drive from end to end.

A selection of Linear Motion focusing macro rails and/or macro stages are quite sometime in the Hejnar PHOTO line of camera support equipment.
However, this new Linear Motion Micrometer screw focusing or micro rail is distinguished. The incorporation of a Micrometer Head with an extra fine graduation of 0.01mm !!! puts it at the top of the Hejnar line of macro / micro rails, and in direct competition to Newport® Linear stages.
