Further to my older review of the YongNuo SF-18 External Battery Pack for Canon Speedlites which is powered by standard Alkaline or Rechargeable AA batteries, I came across Triopo LE-28 battery pack which originally powered Triopo's TR-120 bare bulb flash units.

Announcement of TRIOPO AD-10 Automatic Motorized Panorama Head
Up to now TRIOPO® has been successfully involved in the manufacture of budget Aluminium and Carbon Fiber tripods like the GT-3228X8C or the GX-1328 and/or Budget ball heads and Gimbal heads, some of which I have reviewed in the past.
In parallel with their camera support gear they also carry a full series of Studio and battery operated Field Flashes under the OUBAO brand name, as well as a series of speedlights like the TR-982 E-TTL which are mostly sold in their vast internal Chinese market.

Triopo Monopod Belt Holster Review
The Monopod Belt Holster presented in this article arrived together with my custom made Triopo GL-70 Carbon Fiber Twist Lock Monopod reviewed in detail in another article.
There is no documentation or listing of the Belt Holster, in Triopo's website or any of their reseller sites. Therefore, I cannot be certain if it is included or will be included in the future with their other monopod models. In any case this unexpected gift, was found to be a very cost effective and versatile solution worthy documentation.

Triopo GL-70 Carbon Fiber Twist Lock Monopod Review
As an old saying goes: "Eating opens your appetite". Well that started happening to me after I realized that I've been leaving behind my heavier Aluminium Benro A-298 EX (A2980F) Versatile Transformer Tripod (Review) in favor of the lighter and sturdier Carbon Fiber ones.
So, although I've been very satisfied with my Benro MA-96 EX Fliplock Aluminiuim Monopod (Review) in all respects of rigidity and stability and although it is still quite lightweight for its caliber, my appetite opened for a lighter and more compactly folding monopod, into the Carbon Fiber world.

Announcement of Triopo Speedlight TR-982 High Speed Sync Flash
Triopo is well known by now for their budget Carbon Fiber series tripods like the GT-3228X8C or the GX-1328 which I have reviewed.
However, in parallel with the tripod lines they have always had a full series of Studio and Field Flashes under the OUBAO brand name, which were and are mostly sold in their vast internal market. So the international markets are not so aware of those.

Latest Updates of Triopo GT-3228X8C Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod
As I keep receiving e-mails from readers who are confused with the different Triopo GT-3228X8C Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod versions available in the market, I thought it would be convenient to write a small article with the most recent Triopo tripod updates.
Starting about six months ago all Triopo GT series tripods have been upgraded at two points.
First a rubber ring around the neck of the removable (monopod) leg in order to give a better grip when screwing/unscrewing the leg.

How to Upgrade Triopo GT-3228X8C Tripod with Retractable Steel Spikes
In my opinion, the most desirable upgrade on an older version Triopo GT-3228X8C Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod would be to have Rubber feet with Retractable Steel Spikes.
Following my statement in the Triopo Tripod Spare Parts & Accessories Reference article, I have prepared step by step instructions of how it can be performed and what tools etc are needed for this upgrade.

Triopo Tripod Spare Parts & Accessories Reference
It took me a lot of time and effort to locate a distributor / re-seller of Triopo tripods that holds a complete line of Triopo Spare Parts and Accessories.
Quite in vain, I would say, as most re-sellers may keep a limited stock of first need parts, like a spring loaded hook, in order to fulfill their guaranty obligations. On the other hand most of them are ready to exchange a faulty product with a new one, or issue a full refund; but this takes time and money sending back your equipment, not to mention the frustration involved.

Triopo GX-1328 Carbon Fiber Classic Tripod Review
For the past six months, I have been engaged in the process of preparing and testing the structure of a new Heavy Duty Panorama Head.
Among other findings, I reached the conclusion that the tripod used as a support up to now would not be capable of holding the excess offset load. The bending in the center column hub, under full load, indicated that it had reached its limits.
Off we go again for the quest of a new tripod.

Triopo GT-3228X8C Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod Update

The popularity of Triopo GT-3228X8C Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod Review during the past months urged me to make a small research, about the improvements made (or not made) on the tripod, during this period.
Considering the inconsistencies met between different sites as well as on Triopo's own website plus the reluctance of some resellers to provide information, conducting a research was not the easiest thing to do, trust me.

Triopo GT-3228X8C Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod Review
When products like Triopo 3228X8C Carbon Fiber Traveler tripod come in the scene, advertised to have exceptional features against a low cost of 165 EU shipped, while other manufacturers charge twice or three times as much for similar products, then the same old question arises. Is this a real bargain or ...?

Triopo B-2 Quick Release Clamp Review
Surfing the net and searching about new products led me to a listing in ebay with the title "Triopo B-2 Ball head Quick Release Plate Clamp...". The listing price was USD 15.90 shipping included!
With all QR clamp's prices, to my knowledge, ranging from $ 45 to over $ 100 plus shipping most of the times, I found myself in a big dilemma... should I order a pizza or a quick release clamp?
My curiosity prevailed and I decided to order one and find out what this clamp could do.
Was it a bargain or just a cheepo?
