Hejnar Photo Modular Flash Bracket Extended Version -Preview

Back in August 2018 I made a short review of A Modular Flash Bracket Coming from Hejnar Photo.

It took some time for the idea to mature and come to its first update.
Nonetheless, it is neither a refinement nor a modification update but actually an extended version of the Hejnar FB87B Flash Bracket.


Besides the extension though, it still takes far less space to carry in your bag compared to other monoblock brackets and can be set up in no time.

Nothing changes also in adjustment of height.

Nonetheless this extended version is more suitable with longer telephoto lenses, as it can lift the light beam higher.

A Modular Flash Bracket Coming from Hejnar Photo

Some ideas take time to develop and materialize but then the outcome justifies the time and effort spent.

It was back in 2014, when a crude and quite heavy I must admit, Hejnar Photo Modular Flash Bracket had appeared made from Hejnar Photo parts.

Actually it was assembled together by one dedicated Hejnar Photo user, but never became an official product or kit.

It was more or less a proof of what one may do combining imagination with Arca-Swiss compatible modules.

Nonetheless, now the new modular flash bracket is much refined and dedicated to the use.

It takes far less space to carry in your bag compared to other monoblock brackets and can be put up in seconds.

It can be adjusted in height and used either with short or long telephoto lenses.

New Innovative Hejnar PHOTO Modular Lens Support Bracket Preview

A new and very innovative modular lens support bracket was just released by Hejnar Photo under the model name MOD-6 LLSB. Actually the new LLSB is unique and original.

It is based on the reviewed Hejnar PHOTO Modular Lens Support Bracket MOD-1 with its 2" body rail but with a modified U shape lens supporting bar featuring 1.15" diameter wheels placed in a completely different manner than any other lens supporting Yoke or LLSB.

Hejnar Photo Released Arca Style Support for Nikon PS-5 Slide Duplicator

User requirements is one of the drives that keeps Hejnar Photo in the front line of Arca Style camera and lens support systems manufacturers in the US.
This time a Chris Hejnar responded to the request for adaptation of older Nikon PS-5 Slide Duplicators, which with some modifications to be used with an Arca-Swiss® compatible rail system.

How did I end up here?
Some time ago I was complaining to Sotiris about some details of the L-bracket I used on my Nikon D800 and aired the idea of replacing it.

He suggested, I should have a look at Hejnar PHOTO's bracket.
Sotiris also suggested to share my experience and make a short review of the bracket, so here we are...

New Sunwayfoto Custom Plate & Modular L Bracket for SONY α7 / α7R

Sunwfayfoto is one of the first camera support equipment manufacturers who released last week a custom Arca-Swiss® compatible Quick Release Plate and a modular L Bracket dedicated to the new SONY® high end full frame mirrorless α7 and α7R cameras.
