New Hejnar Photo Universal Square Plate with 3/8"-16 Mounting Screw

Hejnar Photo has just introduced a new camera plate expanding their coverage to the medium format camera field but not only.
It follows a simple design of a quite large square camera plate with a bidirectional Arca style dovetail. What makes it differ though, is its larger 3/8"-16 mounting screw compared to the usual 1/4"-20 size.

Starting with the M1D-325 Lens Mounting Plate with Removable / Adjustable Ridge, Hejnar Photo is introducing a new series of lens plates with new mounting screw option.
This is a Hex-Socket screw but with a larger diameter head. The head has also a slot and a D-Ring for the user to choose the most convenient way to tighten it.

New 3/8"-16 "Bullet" Screws from Desmond

According to information received from Desmond Photographic Distributors, they have released an accessory product requested by their customers for a long time.

That is a short 3/8"-16 screw which may be used to mount a Quick Release Clamp on a Ball head bottom mounting hole, back to back on another QR clamp with a 3/8" threaded hole and other applications without the need of a bushing adapter.

Announced just before the end of 2013, the new ultra slim and lightweight Sunwayfoto PT-26 Universal Quick Release plate, was released yesterday.

This very slim, only 5.5 mm (~0.22") thick Arca-Swiss® compatible plate is intended for P&S and/or Mirrorless digital cameras with a small footprint.

However, according to my information this universal plate is the pilot for a whole new series of slimline quick release plates to be released soon by Sunwayfoto.

New Universal L Bracket Base from Hejnar PHOTO

A new addition to the Hejnar PHOTO line of Universal Camera L Base plates has been released recently. The new L base plate with model name L Base 4 follows the concept of the Modular Universal Camera L Bracket presented a few months ago, for which it is actually intended.
The new plate dimensions and characteristics are almost identical to the existing Base 3 with the exception of the longitudinal captive slot, which has been replaced by 6 parallel small captive slots running front to back.
This attribute may solve the problem of proper attachment of the base plate when the tripod socket is set off center  on the camera base.
